"Best tacos I've ever had and the quality is always consistent. Have been here tons of times and have never been disappointed with the food. I make it a point to tell people about this place if they don't already know "

"This is one of the best authentic Mexican restaurants in Morris County. The food is fresh and very savory. Service is 10 and up! They are friendly, polite, and so helpful. My absolute favorite is the sopes. The restaurant is cleaned and well organized."

"Do not judge a book by its cover. This is one of those places you could drive past for years and not even notice. The food here is outstanding and the quality hasn't changed in decades. If your looking for a fancy overpriced "dining" experience, then this place is NOT for you. Also if you can't eat spicy/hot food then I would pass because this place is the real deal. They have a humble seating area with about 8 tables and most of the cooks will double as wait staff and bring the food right out to you. I've shown up may times in steel toes, covered head to toe in dirt and never been judged here. Perfect after a hard days work if your looking to eat healthy and not get ripped off. The prices are awesome and the portions can sometimes feed two. When we don't have time to cook but still want a homemade authentic meal, we order from here. I can't say enough about the family that runs it, wonderfully kind people with outstanding customer service. They treat you like a guest in their home because you are literally stepping into their kitchen. My favorite thing is the green enchiladas, don't miss that. Also, the spicy pork sandwich with pickled jalapenos... OMG."

"I usually drive an hour to go to Passaic for real Authentic Mexican food, but I was very impressed with the food this restaurant had to offer, it was delicious! I will definitely order here again!"

- Carolina M.

"Very authentic Mexican food. It is cash only but the prices a very affordable for a lot of food. If you order any quesadilla they will make the tortilla from scratch and it is a huge quesadilla. On weekends they have tamales, deliciousness. This is a must go when in the mood for real Mexican food."

- Felippe M.

"I was googling around to find very specific tacos, and I came across La Mixteca and that they made these delicious tacos. Their Birria tacos BLEW my mind. I almost cried from happiness. I highly recommend visiting them and ordering their tacos. Also from my picture, you can see a decent amount of cilantro on there. I am not typically a fan of cilantro but I went with it for the purpose of the flavors and how it was supposed to taste -- the cilantro did NOT overpower the flavor of the meat and the consomme. I barely even tasted it which again- blew my mind. Go get these tacos!"
